It’s been officially announced that at least one Divas match will happen at the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell Pay Per View event, and one with a very interesting stipulation.
Announced by Nikki Bella during the the Raw post-show programme on the WWE Network, Nikki informed sister Brie Bella that after talking with Stephanie McMahon it will be Bella versus Bella at the Hell in a Cell PPV. However there’s quite the stipulation to the contest – the loser will be the slave to the winner for a full month!
While the Bellas feud has not been as inspiring as many had hoped, this stipulation might kick things up a notch… Or lead to more terrible segments full of bad Bella acting…
It’s that time once again to recap all the events of that Monday night Sports Entertainment show with this, the RAW RELOADED presented by DIVAS OF DESTRUCTION! Last week Brie Bella continued to defy the odds to a certain extent, winning a match with an arm tied behind her back (unlike her sister who lost a similar match months ago), but couldn’t survive a four-on-one Handicap Match later in the week as Nikki got a cheap win over her sister. Meanwhile, AJ Lee is discovering that not having a ally, let alone a friend is working against her as she walked out on tag partner Emma, leaving her to fall to the best buddies duo of Paige and Alicia Fox. Can Lee finally find a friend this week, or will “Pai-cia” get the better of her yet again? Let’s get into it and find out…
STEPHANIE MCMAHON and hubby Triple H were once again a part of the opening segment, putting Dean Ambrose and John Cena into a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, and when that didn’t work out for The Authority bringing the two Superstars’ Contract on a Pole Match forward to be the show’s Main Event.
Divas Tag Team Match
WWE Divas Champion AJ LEE & LAYLA Vs ALICIA FOX & PAIGE
Full entrances? Madness I tell you! Lee skipped her way out and we got a recap of Lee walking out on partner Emma last week to lose to Paige and Alicia Fox. Oh wait, never mind, Layla was then in the ring coming back from a commercial. Oh well. One of those fancy dual-box graphics things showed AJ claiming she wouldn’t walk out on Layla because she “disliked her the least” which led to an extremely awkward hug.
Team Paicia (I’m calling them that now!) made their way out next. Lee and Fox started off and quickly Lee got control with a High Roundhouse Kick, allowing her to grab Alicia’s arm and force her towards Paige, AJ demanding her rival tag in to which Paige repeatedly yelled “No!” Fox soon countered a whip into a less than perfect Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker for a near fall. Now Paige took the tag, mocking by doing some skipping around but it allowed Paige to get up and go into full creeper mode. When Paige saw her rival was up on her feet, she bailed out of the ring and the chase was on!
Cue the Benny Hill music! Paige went a half-lap around before getting back in to tag out, but Lee went after her and got hit from behind by Fox. “OW!” Paige exclaimed while Fox went for the High Boot in the corner only (as usual) to miss. Layla reached out for a tag as Lee crawled towards the corner… But Layla dropped down, leaving Lee with a “I should have known better” look. Fox tried to capitalize with a Roll Up from behind but Lee held onto the ropes, and then rushed in as Alicia was down on her knees with a SHINING WIZARRRRRD-OOOOOOOOOH!! Paige tried to scramble in but it was too late as Lee got the sneak win.
AJ Lee and Layla defeat Alicia Fox and Paige – Lee pinned Fox following a Shining Wizard.
Post-match: Layla looked stunned by her “win” but found herself being chased up the ramp as Layla got planted down into the steel ramp. Lee forced her back down, sending her into one crowd barrier and then the next. Paige and Fox stayed in the ring, bad mouthing Lee while she hugged her title and skipped away.
Thoughts: So… Last week Lee showed signed of regretting not having any friends to have her back, but now this week she wins a match on her own in basically a Handicap Match? The spark in this feud has been completely lost, and the chance to debut perhaps a new Diva from NXT to have Lee’s back has also been wasted. This week was a complete step backwards for the Divas title feud.
McMahon would pop again in the office of The Authority as she and HHH granted Randy Orton a Hell in a Cell PPV Match against whoever loses the main event of Raw.
RENEE YOUNG would interview Dean Ambrose (calm down Tumblr!) about his main event match later on Raw.
LANA accompanied her charge Rusev for a highly anticipated match against The Big Show, mocking America for celebrating Columbus who was an ego-maniac who got lost. After insulting the local baseball team, Lana and Rusev became furious at tomahawk chanting and USA chants. After a bruising bout, interference by former rival Mark Henry gave Rusev a DQ win. However, Rusev was cornered by both Henry and Show, managing to fight off Henry but eating a Show KO Punch, to Lana’s yelling anger.
Renee Young would do interviewing duties again, this time with Sheamus about his upcoming match against The Miz.
There was a backstage segment featuring some of the Total Divas cast and some American reality TV star. Nothing of value was said or done.
The Second Match
Six-Diva Tag Team Match
CAMERON, NIKKI BELLA, & SUMMER RAE Vs BRIE BELLA, NAOMI, & NATALYA w/h ROSA MENDES
A Total Divas themed match that involves the Bella Twins feud? I’m lowering my expectations accordingly. The heels were already in the ring and then to that awful Total Divas theme the babyfaces came out. Then the reality show star was introduced to resounding apathy and rightfully so.
Anyway, Natalya and Cameron started off as hilariously Cameron completely missed a slap so had to hit another, and then got decked by one from the Queen of Harts. Cameron backed into a corner, luring Natalya in to send her head into the buckle before hitting a Suplex. She brought her to her side’s team as Nikki came in to hit a Clothesline, getting a near fall before slamming the head repeatedly into the mat. Nikki mocked her sister’s injured husband with a “Yes!” motion, and got rolled up by Natalya for barely a one count.
Nikki cut off a tag, locking on a Front Facelock before finishing with a Knee Strike. Rae was tagged in as she hit the arm with a kick and then tossed Natalya by the hair down to the mat. After striking some Fandango-era dancing, she hit nothing but canvas with a Leg Drop attempt, allowing Brie to get the tag as she went to work with strikes and shots, trying to swing at Nikki but she dropped down. Rae tried to steal a win with a Roll-Up but Brie escaped at two, sending Summer down with a Dropkick. Brie fired herself up before hitting the Running Knee Strike to the bottom rope.
Going for a pin, Cameron came in to break it up, and Naomi tried to come in to send her out only to be countered herself and sent through the ropes. Natalya tackled her down and the two rather lamely rolled to the floor, while Rae hit a Jawbreaker to Brie. Nikki tagged herself in hard, making Summer whine “Owwwww!” as Nikki went for the Rack Attack but Brie flipped out, and after some countering caught her sister with the Bella Buster and scored the victory!
Brie Bella, Naomi, and Natalya defeat Cameron, Nikki Bella, and Summer Rae – Brie pinned Nikki with the Bella Buster.
Post-match: The nice Divas celebrated, the bad girls licked their wounds. Oh, the reality star was there as well.
Thoughts: Throwaway match and the Brie victory over her sister felt meaningless not just with that reality star being involved, but just the win happening so suddenly in such a random match. Perhaps the WWE has gotten tired of the Bella Vs Bella feud like the fans have?
Renee Young would again interview, this time with John Cena about the main event.
Stephanie McMahon would join Triple H to watch the Main Event from ringside .
That’s your lot from a far from impressive outing of Monday Night Raw. With the Hell in a Cell PPV soon approaching, will we get any confirmation of a match for the show as Paige Vs AJ Lee has yet to be announced? Stop by in seven and we’ll find out with the next edition of the RAW RELOADED! See you then!
Oh yes indeed, it’s that time once again to recap all the shenanigans from that Monday night sports entertainment show with this, the RAW RELOADED presented by DIVAS OF DESTRUCTION! We had a mass amount of Divas on the show last week and a record setting three Divas matches! The downside? Little story progression and no confirmed PPV matches despite Hell in a Cell getting closer and closer. Could tonight see things turn around for the better? Let’s get into it and find out…
STEPHANIE MCMAHON and Triple H came out to try and drive a wedge between Dean Ambrose and John Cena, putting them in a two-on-three Handicap Match in the Main Event.
Oh yes indeed, it’s that time once again where we recap the events of from the sports entertainment night before with this, the RAW RELOADED presented by DIVAS OF DESTRUCTION! Last week saw a very lackluster week for the Divas as storylines seemed to stall with more of the same that we’ve seen before. With the Hell in a Cell Pay Per View looming, will we see a turn around this week? Let’s get into it and find out.
Predictably STEPHANIE MCMAHON and husband Triple H opened the show to further the feuds and storylines involving Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, and even Brock Lesnar. Nothing new to report here, apart from an obvious dig at a quitter from Chicago.
Divas such as CAMERON, LILLIAN GARCIA, and NATALYA were featured in a Susan G Komen video as the WWE’s partnership with the breast cancer charity gets into full swing for another year.
McMahon would be briefly seen again, telling Rollins to stay put while her hubby sent agents on a mission to get the Money in the Bank briefcase back. Later on McMahon would tell off those same agents for failing to find Ambrose, warning them they’d be fired if they didn’t get the job done.
Divas Singles Match
LAYLA w/h SUMMER RAE Vs ROSA MENDES w/h NATALYA & Tyson Kidd
No entrances? ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN! Layla, in pink Susan G Komen shirt and all was bouncing away while Rae on the outside mouthed off at the announcers, and for some reason Mendes came out to Nataly’s theme. OK, sure. Meanwhile Kidd seemed more interested in something on his phone, much to wife Natalya’s annoyance as the commentators stated there was material problems between the two. Before throwing to a clip from Total Divas so yeah, gotta totally be heading for splits-ville. Not.
Back from the clip Natalya seemed bummed out by Kidd’s apathy while he shrugged it off, more concerned by his phone which made JBL question if he was playing Pac-Man. The match started with Layla getting control early, hitting a safe-looking Side Kick before slamming Mendes down while Natalya tried to wrestle her husband’s phone out of his grip. Meanwhile Layla choked her opponent on the ropes as Summer took a picture.
Layla locked on a Chinlock while Kidd put on his headphones to drown out the fans’ chant of “Nattie’s Husband!”. They must all watch NXT as well! Natalya was less than amused while the announcers buried Kidd, and oh the match is still going on in the ring. After getting a near fall Layla lost control, taking a rough Knee Strike and eating some Forearms but got decked by one THAT KNOCKED A DAMN HAIR EXTENSION OUT FROM ROSA’S HAIR! Oh lordy…
Things didn’t get better as Mendes comically was sent to the outside. Layla mouthed off at Natalya when she tried to check on her step-daughter , which brought in Summer Rae and because reality show feuds apparently matter Natalya (safely) took Rae down on the floor to start laying in shots. Kidd couldn’t care less at this all, while Mendes laid in some kicks to Layla. Mendes tossed her opponent in and Layla backed away, suckering her in to toss her down into the middle rope. One LayOut Neckbreaker later, and that’s all she wrote.
Layla defeats Rosa Mendes with the LayOut.
Post-match: Natalya finally got the phone of Kidd, storming off while The Slayers took selfies over the fallen Mendes.
Thoughts: What a train wreck! Bowling shoe ugly and not just down to Mendes still flat out sucking in the ring either. Layla couldn’t carry Rosa to a decent match sadly, and the WWE never learns that Rosa needs to stay out of the ring! It seems like having a random match based on whatever happens on Total Divas will continue to be a thing, so only more pain is inbound if this is any indication.
McMahon appeared again in a brief segment to set up the night’s main event.
RENEE YOUNG would interview Bo Dallas on his upset victory over Mark Henry, but the infuriated Henry would soon appear to decimate Dallas.
The Second Match
Divas Handicap Match
BRIE BELLA Vs CAMERON & EVA MARIE
Brie made her way to the ring, the announcers hyping the Susan G merch that can be bought to support the charity. Back from commercial, NIKKI BELLA made her way out but not dressed to compete, mocking her sister for being ready to compete in the arena she’d quit in months ago. She mocked Daniel Bryan and took a shot at the fans being uglier than Brie’s troll husband. Nikki whined about having been put in Handicap Matches because of her sister, and then announced that “per The Authority” Brie would have to compete in a Handicap Match of her own.
Oh boy… Out comes Team Totally Green Divas and I lower my expectations accordingly. Marie started off as Nikki watched from the stage. Brie sent Marie to the corner, then controlled with an Armdrag. Marie fought back with clubbing blows but got caught with a kick when she ducked her head down. Cameron went for a cheap shot but ate a High Kick, but the distraction allowed Marie to (eventually) slam Brie down by the hair.
Cameron yelled for a tag and got it as Marie choked Brie in the corner, and Cameron got some stomps in for good measure. Another tag and both Total Divas slammed Brie’s head back to the corner. Cole mocked the other announcers for clearly having not watched Total Divas (I can’t blame them!). Cameron got back in and hit a Suplex and got a two-count as Nikki scowled from the staging. Cameron locked on a Chinlock. While the always classy Chicago fans chanted for the announcers Brie fought her way out of the corner with Elbow Strikes to both opponents. Eventually, Eva grabbed Brie’s hair to hold her, but Bella escaped at the last second to send Cameron crashing into her partner, knocking her off the apron and Brie captilised with a roll-up to get the upset win!
Brie Bella defeats Cameron and Eva Marie, Bella pins Cameron with a School Girl Roll-up.
Post-match: Nikki looked furious on the stage as her plan spectacularly backfired, and Brie led the crowds in an arena-wide chant of “Yes!” before Nikki stormed off.
Thoughts: Storyline wise it worked fine as Nikki forced her sister to go through the same things she did, but sister
LANA with her man Rusev would further aggravate America as well as taunt new rival The Big Show until said Superstar interrupted things, chasing off Team Russia and pulling down the Russian flag!
Renee Young would later interview John Cena about the main event tag match, his partner Dean Ambrose showing up as well to add his two cents.
The THIRD Match
Non-title Divas Singles Match
WWE Divas Champion AJ LEE Vs ALICIA FOX w/h PAIGE
Lee skipped her way out to the ring, and Paige made her way out to the stage but with a mic in hand. Paige talked over the chants for a Chicago quitter as she claimed Lee had taken advantage of her friendship in the past. Paige introduced her “new best friend” as Lee’s opponent as Fox came out. Remember when she was a thing?
Fox shoved Lee down and controlled with strikes, but got taken over by a Headscissors, followed by a Corner Clothesline and a wicked Spinning Kick that made Fox bail from the ring. Paige comforted her new best friend but Lee just climbed up top and crashed into both Divas with a Flying Crossbody to the floor. Paige distracted her rival, getting grabbed through the ropes by the hair but this just set Lee up to take an Axe Kick to the back, and that was enough to steal the win!
Alicia Fox defeats AJ Lee with an Axe Kick to the back.
Post-match: Paige got in some shots as Fox grabbed some sodas. Lee tried to fight back but got slaughtered by a Fox Big Boot, setting up for a RamPaige DDT to leave Lee out on the mat as Paige posed with the title.
Thoughts: A fine segment and the short match did what it needed to do. Lee having the deck stacked against her might be the freshness this feud needs, but can we handle all this crazy in one storyline?
McMahon would pop up again, giving Kane and Randy Orton a sterm pep-talk before their tag match.
Divas! Divas everywhere! Don’t think we’ll ever see the likes of three Divas matches on the show again, and with storylines a-plenty in full swing what will be in store next as the Hell in a Cell PPV approaches? Stop by in seven days and we’ll find out with the next edition of the RAW RELOADED! See you then!
There’s apparent bad news for fans of the TNA Knockouts, as it appears that there will not be a KOs match at the biggest TNA Pay Per View of the year.
Tweets sent out by Jimmy Suzuki, an official for Wrestle-1 (the partner company for the Japan hosted Bound For Glory event) indicated that due to giving more time to men’s matches and to W-1 Japanese stars, the Knockouts have been denied a spot on the card.
We have too many good cards and having difficulty make it less than 10… Sorry but I don’t think there will be a room for girls this time… We don’t want 5 min matches . We want to show good solid wrestling as a speciality of Japanese wrestling organization .
The decision seems truly bizarre considering there was no issue in using Gail Kim and Madison Rayne in a match during TNA’s last big PPV over in Japan. It seems that TNA is bowing to letting W-1 showcase its own talent, even with the risk of the majority of TNA fans not knowing, and therefore caring, about Japanese stars they are unlikely to see again.
Here’s hoping that TNA can convince W-1 to allow the Knockouts such as Kim, Havok, and Taryn Terrell to shine at what’s supposed to be TNA’s biggest PPV of the year.
It’s that time of the week once again where we recap the events of the night before with this, the RAW RELOADED presented by DIVAS OF DESTRUCTION! Night of Champions is in the history books and we have a brand new Divas Champion as AJ Lee managed to force bitter rival Paige to trap out in the Triple Threat match that also involved Nikki Bella. It appears the ongoing verging on HLA feud between the Anti-Diva and the now three-time champ is far from over so what new turn if any will go down on the post-NOC Raw. Will we be forced to endure more awful segments with the far from entertaining Bella Twins feud? Let’s get into it and find out…
STEPHANIE MCMAHON was seen with the rest of The Authority as they tried to lay down the law to John Cena and Dean Ambrose, but instead they made the charge to chase down Seth Rollins, leaving McMahon holding the Money in the Bank briefcase.
